Triplicate emails sent?

Howdy All,
I am using MacOSX Server 10.4.x as our mail server. We use IMAP and
Mail.app as the client.
I think something may be wrong with the mail server set-up because
1. A colleague has just indicated that he get each of my emails three
(3) times. Which is strange because when I send them to myself on
another email system I don't get triplicates and other people have
not said anything about this to me (although they may just be
ignoring it or thinking I am pushy ;-)
This colleague runs Windows and uses a third-party company (not an
ISP) as their mail/domain server.
2. I get an automated bound message warning email every day from a
mailing list I am on (but it says if I get the message it probably
means the mail system is fixed). I have registered with my .Mac
email address but that is forwarded to my normal email address on my
mail server.
I only get this bounce for one mailing list (Frontbase) although I am
on many more.
Howver, I also sometimes receive duplicate messages from some of the
mailing lists I am subscribed to (particularly some of the Omnigroup
one's Macosx-talk I think, but also another Australian mailing list).
I should also point out that my mail server does not have a proper
reverse DNS entry for the domains that I post/receive from (neither
is correct) since I don't have control over that. I am not sure if
that would be causing the problem but I wonder if it will make some
system label my email as spam?
Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Ashley.
