I've always wondered about this, but nobody I've ever asked has ever 
understood it enough to explain it. The weird thing is that when I turn 
on ipfw, I can get in no problem using active FTP, but Windows users 
cannot connect via web folders even though PASV mode is unchecked. I 
guess not all FTP clients behave the same way with regard to active 
FTP.
