Set en0 from CLI

Ok ... Just to partially answer my question ... I found a posting of Dan
Shoop's helpfully explaining that the reason for the "interface en0 does not
exist" error is that:
"That's because the you don't have the required things loaded yet.
Single user mode drops you in right after init but before the system
is completely started."
Once I restarted in normal GUI mode the interface came up.
Now back to my other problem ...
