Changing G5 processor performance setting from command line

Is there any way to change the processor performace setting of the 
PowerMac G5 (Highest/Automatic/Reduced) from the command line?

I mean something like "defaults write com.apple.system 
ProcessorPerformance Highest/Automatic/Reduced"
