plumps when you cook it

What temperature does it have to be cooked to to remove all bacteria that has the potential to cause software poisoning (or viruses???)?

No, just kidding. This is great! However, I've recently fallen in love with Firefox 2.0.b1, let's see if OmniWeb 5.5 can pull me back…

I too, am delighted to see the new OmniWeb.  The only design feature I was hoping to see was an actually rss browser instead of a big list of bookmarks for feeds.  Otherwise, I'm a happy customer with a universal version on my macBook Pro (and a third party rss reader).

So the previous sneakypeek wasn't universal? that makes the speed even more impressive.

Do you share your improvements to webkit with Apple and KDE?

Hello.

Just wanted to point out:

1. CNN video does not work. It works for me in Safari and Firefox using Flip4Mac plugin.

2. Save Linked ... Documents is a great feature that can be improved if you can specify which types of files to download. E.g. I might want to download only and all PDFs, but right now it down loads .aspx, .cfm, .html, .asp files indescriminately. That is, OW downloads the files I want as well as lots of junk. This is a great idea that needs a little improvement.

Thanks.

is it perfect yet? not 100%, but which browser is? did it make me dump Safari again? yes. all sites that i need now work again and i am a happy Omniweb camper.

THANKS

Is it substantially faster than the previous version, for PPCs?

Do the buttons look better? :)

Are you planning anything like Greaemonkey support?

PHP Upload forms don't seem to work properly (I get an Invalid Argument page after I hit submit/upload). Other than that, I've ditched Camino and you can expect my license payment once the beta period is over :D

It's fast to do a Windermere search of housing, but the links for extra photos or maps did not work. I had Opera open at the same time and it looked identical, but the links worked.

Waaay faster on my PB 1.67. I stopped using Omniweb for awhile just because I was enjoying my overall experience with Camino better. But the additional rendering speed and overall polish of OW 5.5 brought me back. Props.

Please don't change how RSS handled. It is a great invention by Omni and it is the only way I can stand to RSS in browser. Yes, they are bookmarks. Perhaps they should be able to limited to “10” “20” by user of course.

I am telling as a person who lived hassle to enable Safari debug menu and disable its “RSS support” :) Yes, the way safari handles RSS is plain wrong, no need to get that into omniweb.

Too little too late.  I've written off Omniweb.

Yeah, Omnigroup got my money for it but they'll never get another cent from me.  It is obvious that Omnigroup has ignored Omniweb to focus on their other products.

Ok, so it uses the most recent version of WebCore.  After how many months?  What happens when 10.5 ships?  Another 10 months delay before OmniWeb is updated?  No thanks.

Omniweb is nice.  Very nice and the latest version looks great and is very fast.  But how often does OminGroup expect me to…

1)  Convert everything from Safari to OmniWeb

2)  Use OmniWeb until OS X is updated

3)  Use OmniWeb for a few months after that until I finally get tired of the limitations of using an old version of WebCore

4)  Convert everything back to Safari

5)  Use Safari for almost a year

6)  OmniWeb is finally updated

7)  Convert everything back to OmniWeb

8)  A few months later, a new version of OS X is released and restart the cycle.

No thanks.

As long as OmniGroup updates OmniWeb whenever they happen to feel like it they will never see another cent from me.
