OmniWeb 5.5.2 beta 1 now available.

Posted by Troy on 12.04.06 @ 10:11 AM File Under: News, OmniWeb, Releases

Lots of bug fixes and small enhancements. Many will be happy to see that OmniWeb now respects the system feed reader and forces all links in a new tab if you desire to do so!

Check out a full list of changes here.

Then go download here.

I love you Omni Group! Now I don't have to copy and paste RSS feeds anymore!

    Halleluiah!

Is it possible to 'link' omniweb's feed detecting to a web based rss thingy, like google reader, without using an extra app?

OmniWeb is already a great program, and these added features just make it more competitive with programs like Firefox. (Not that I have anything against Firefox, but OW is MUCH better :)

Any chance of getting the javascript performance issue fixed (or maybe it was already, but you decided not to put it in the changelog to test it a bit)?

ho good, a new omniweb version.

there are some charset mistakes in the french translation.

for example “éléments” et “Étiquette”  accents are broken in the Bookmarks window.

    thanks.

Thanks for letting me know Michel, I'll see what's wrong in the localization.

It looks like the OmniFolks made a mistake when they imported the localizations…. the version of Localizable.strings that's it the release is messed-up. I'll report it on the localization list. Thanks for letting me know Michel,

The option to open links to other sites in a new Background tab would be brilliant.
