OmniOutliner 3.9.2 final released

Posted by Derek on 09.10.09 @ 6:31 AM File Under: News, OmniOutliner, Releases

This release is to mainly address the OmniSoftwareUpdateCheck crash that some people will encounter using v3.9.1. If you're using 3.9.1 and OmniOutliner crashes on you when you check for updates, please manually download this release. Sorry for the trouble!

There's also a couple of minor 10.6 compatibility issues that were recently discovered that will be fixed in the next release. Those issues are:

  • The Open button will not respond to the return key automatically on the open file and attach file windows. You can still tab focus to it.
  • Paste With Current Style may fail while in text editing mode if you copied from a recent WebKit based browser such as OmniWeb 5.10 or Safari 4.

We are working to get these fixed for another release.

Please see the release notes for full details on changes and you can download it manually when you're ready. As always, please contact us using Help -> Send Feedback or at omnioutliner@omnigroup.com if you run into any problems or have a question. Thanks!

“Paste With Current Style” also fails if we copy some text from Microsoft Word 2008 and then paste it into OmniOutliner 3.9.2 on Snow Leopard. Can you please fix ASAP… it's driving us slowly mad! :-)

Looks like it's the same pasteboard type. This will be fixed in the next release. Should have a beta ready soon.

Any chance of an import/export function with MediaWiki-formatted files? This would even attract me to the Pro version, if it could be implemented.
