OO 3.6 beta 2 fixes forthcoming

by Tim Wood on March 31, 2006

Thanks to a kind person who sent me their kGTD file, I've fixed a crasher when upgrading to the 0.83 release of Kinkless.  This fix, and some fixes for printing issues (along with a few other odds and ends) will be coming in a 3.6 beta 2 release in a few days.

Reproducible test cases are almost better than coffee.

[Update: OO 3.6 beta 2 is now out.  If you are using KGTD, General Zod says you should update right away!]

Ack! Why am I only NOW hearing about Kinkless? This is brilliant. OO as a platform… in fact all of the Omni tools as a platform - I like it!

OK, take it one step further:

Ex: Draw the diagram for a manufacturing

or other process monitor in OG.  Then

attach the device monitoring code to each

component of the diagram to show system

status.  Voila!  OG as a developers

framework also.  It would sure make

a lot of developers make better-looking

human interfaces.

It looks out to me now. (You're falling behind in the posting!) Incidentally, I hadn't even realized that you could drag in Address Book entries; very handy.

Hear, hear!!!  I'm managing some developers in India for a product used here in the U.S. and I'm constantly harping on this very topic with the users.  If you can't reproducably show me what's wrong, I can't give it to the developers to fix.  They're slowly grokking this.  Makes my job soooo much easier.
