Sections list
In OmniOutliner Professional, the results list just below the batch find field in the utility drawer (available from the View menu or the toolbar) doubles as a sections list. The sections list acts as an overview of the highest-level items in your outline. Click a section title to temporarily hoist that section to the top level, so you can concentrate on that section and ignore the rest of the outline.
You can control which items are displayed as sections in the sections list. Click a section and then click the actions menu, labeled with a gear
, below the sections list. From there you can show or hide that section's children in the sections list. You can also double-click a section's icon to show or hide its children.
You can drag sections around just like rows, and you can double-click them to edit their titles.
Click the plus button
below the sections list to create a new section. Click the minus button
to delete the currently selected section.
If you have recently used the batch find, the Sections list may be occupied by the find results. Click the
X
button on the right side of the batch find field to remove the results list.
