Spotlight

The contents of OmniOutliner documents can be found with Spotlight, the searching tool in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. You don't need to do anything special for this to work; Spotlight can find text in your outlines' rows, columns, and notes as soon as you save them. You can also use the Spotlight section of the Document inspector to add tags to your outlines.

Automator

OmniOutliner can be controlled with Mac OS X Tiger's Automator application. An OmniOutliner item appears in Automator's Library, containing actions you can add to your workflows. Select an action in the list to see information about how to use it.

AppleScript

OmniOutliner has extensive AppleScript support; open the OmniOutliner dictionary in Script Editor for more information.

You can use the Scripts menu for quick access to your OmniOutliner scripts.
