Canvas: Size inspector

Use this inspector to change the size of the canvas or how the canvas fits onto printed pages.
At the upper-left is a matrix that represents the canvas as it will appear on printed pages. Click or drag in this grid to change the number of pages the canvas occupies.
Next to the grid are Width and Height fields; enter values here to specify an exact size for the canvas. You can use any of the units available in the Ruler or just enter a number of pages.
The Print Scale field indicates how much larger or smaller than their actual sizes the objects should be drawn on the screen and printed on the page. This number effectively makes the ruler and the objects pretend to be bigger or smaller than they really are. For example, if you draw a 1-cm-wide object, then change the print scale to 200%, the object will still seem to be 1 cm wide according to the ruler, but will appear twice as large on the screen, and will be printed 2 cm wide. This setting is for fitting objects onto printed pages; if you really want to change objects' sizes you should use the scale settings in the ruler.
Click the Fit button to automatically set the Print Scale such that all of the objects fit just right to the size of the current canvas.
Select Size is multiple of printer sheets to make the edges of the canvas follow the edges of pages. This prevents the canvas from ending in the middle of a page.
If you select Auto-adjust the Canvas Size, the canvas will change its size to fit the objects you create. If objects are created outside of the canvas area, it will expand; if objects at the edges are moved inward or deleted, it will shrink.
The Orientation of pages can be portrait (vertical), landscape (horizontal), or can be taken from the settings in Page Setup.
You can specify print margins, or just choose to use the margins defined by the paper size selected in Page Setup.
