The Line Labels Inspector is used to control labels on line objects.
In the Line Labels Inspector you can add and remove labels from a line object, or change the location, offset, orientation or background of a label.
Labels can be selected from the label list on the left side of the panel, where they are listed by name, or by clicking on the label of a selected line object. The selected line is highlighted in the label list.
To add a label to selected line object click the plus button below the label list. To remove a label, select the label from the list and click the minus button.
The location and offset of the label can be set by using the location and offset sliders. The location slider ranges from the head of the line object to the tail with the center of the slider matching the midpoint of the line. The offset slider ranges from about a half of an inch to the left to a half of an inch to the right with the center of the slider signifying zero offset.
For both the location and offset sliders, if you move the cursor over the tick marks while dragging, the slider will snap to the respective value.
The label orientation can be set by selecting one of the options from the Orientation pop-up menu.
The label background can be controlled in two ways. You can toggle the label background by using the Background checkbox. You can also set the label color by clicking on the color well and choosing a color.
